Content

1. Overal objectives: Develop a model of commercial farming of nine-hole abalone (Haliotis diversicolor Reeve, 1846) using artificial seed resources in Co To, creating new farming jobs for local communities, protecting the safety of national sovereignty over sea and islands. 2. Goals: - Identify the form of commercial farming of nine-hole abalone using artificial seed sources that suits Co To district's natural conditions. - Developed a technical process to raise commercial abalone using artificial seed sources 3. Task Task 1: Researching, Investigating and choosing farming locations, designing farming models. Task 2: Draft technical process of commercial abalone farming. Task 3: Experimenting with abalone commercial farming model. Task 4: Completing the process of commercial abalone farming. Task 5: Organizing technical training for local farmers on commercial abalone farming techniques.

 

Output

- 350kg of commercial abalone, size 25 - 30 individuals/kg - 01 technical process for growing bottom-dwelling abalone on rocks in the sub-tidal area. - 01 technical process of growing abalone in hanging cages at open sea. - 01 map of the farming area in Co To. - 01data set on environmental analysis, survival rate, growth rate. - 01 DVD recording the entire process of implementing and research results. - 01 summary and final report. - 01 journal article - 01 master student
