Objectives: 1. Updating database and ensuring the reliability of fisheries resources, oceanography for forecasting fishing grounds. 2. Building up an annual fishing forecast of oceanic tunas (yellowfin, bigeye and skipjack) as the basis for providing quota for tuna fishing in Vietnam's waters. 3. Building up bulletins on forecasting fishing grounds following monthly and 7- 10 days forecast for some fishing boats of gears: line-fishing for oceanic tunas, gill net, purse seine, as well as species (skipjack, small pelagic fishes such as scads, herring, Indian mackerel, etc.,). 4. Obtaining a suitable modern way of publishment and the effectiveness of forecasting fishing grounds could be evaluated. Content: 1. Collecting and updating the primary data on meteorology - ocean; fisheries, biology and ecology from surveys, monitoring, fishing logging and marine remote sensing (Sample Survey). 2. Analyzing and processing data to develop forecasts of fishing grounds following annual, monthly and 07 - 10 days bulletins (depending on fishing gears and species). 3. Publishing, surveying and evaluate the effectiveness of bulletins on forecasting fishing grounds.
