* General objective: To build up and improve the process of domestication and commercial farming of Bonglau catfish in the earthen ponds in order to diversify the species to support the aquaculturists increasing their income on the farming areas. * Specific objectives: + Build up a process for domesticating and commercial farming of catfish in the earthen ponds (recognized by the Council of the Department of the of Agriculture and Rural Development of Ben Tre province). Stage of domesticated hatching: survival rate ≥ 90%, hatching time from 30-45 days, feeding coefficient 1.3, total body length at harvesting time from 8-10 cm. Commercial farming stage: survival rate ≥ 80%, rearing time 12 months, feeding coefficient 2.0, total weight at harvest time from 1.0-1.2 kg/ind. + Education and training for 60 farmers on techniques for hatching and commercial farming of catfish in the earthen ponds in Ben Tre. + Building up products with recognition of OCOP- 3stars for living catfish (whole fish) and semi-dried catfish products. * Content: + Content 1: Investigation and survey of the status of natural catfish breeding source and broodstock, identify areas for potential hatching and commercial farming + Content 2: Study on improving the process of catfish fry and fingerlings rearing in Ben Tre province + Content 3: Study on improving the process of catfish commercial farming in Ben Tre province + Content 4: Evaluation of the economic efficiency of the model and building up a value chain associated with the consumer market to develop the catfish farming by stable and sustainable way.
