* General objective: Overall assessment of the current status of marine stock and exploitation in coastal and inshore waters of Ba Ria - Vung Tau and proposing solutions for management, exploitation, conservation and development in a sustainable and responsible trend. * Specific objectives: + Assess the status of marine stock in coastal and inshore waters of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province, including: species composition, fishing productivity, density distribution, reserves and fishing capacity. + Determine the status of breeding sources: concentrated spawning areas, natural nursery grounds of some shrimp and fish species, representing ecological groups, thereby delimiting and proposing solutions to protect stock in coastal and inshore waters of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province. + Assess the maximum sustainable yield (MSY), corresponding fishing effort and ecological risks of fishing gears used in fishing activities. + Determine the spawning time of some commercial species as well as characteristic species representing for coastal and inshore waters of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province. + Propose solutions for fishery management in coastal and inshore areas based on the current status of stock, fishing capacity and potential of breeding sources for each group of fishing gears and fleet of fishing boat in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province. * Content: + Content 1: Investigating and evaluating the current status of marine stock in coastal and inshore waters of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province + Content 2: Investigate aquatic breeding stock in coastal and inshore waters of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province + Content 3: Investigating and evaluating the current status of fishing activities and fishery biology in coastal and inshore waters of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province + Content 4: Set up a scientific database and propose solutions for marine stock protection and fishery management in the coastal waters of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province in a sustainable and responsible trend.
