Project objectives: • General objective: To complete the process and technology for artificial production of abalone Donkey’s Ear Abalone (Haliotis asinina Linnaeus, 1758) which contributing to marine aquaculture products and the protection of marine living resources. • Detail objectives: - Completing the technological process of artificial production of abalone Donkey’s Ear Abalone. - The final process used by 3 abalone hatchery farms with a yield of 0.5 million seeds/farm/year. - Production about 1.5 million disease-free seed with size approximately about 3mm. - Bulding up basic standards for seed of Donkey’s Ear Abalone. - Training 34 technicians for over 20 hatchery farms of seed production. Content: 1. Study on completation the technological process of seed production of Donkey’s Ear Abalone. 2. Teaching, training and technological transfer for 4 technicians at model-building units and 30 technicians in hatchery production facilities. 3. Building a model of abalone seed production at 03 hatchery farms (yield of 0.5 million seed/farm/year).
